Announcement of Appointment
It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Ms. Hikmat Haruna as the first-ever National Director of Missions of Humanitarian Clubs in Universities for the Michael Legend Hope and Relief Initiative (MLHARI).
Ms. Haruna previously served with distinction as the Director of Missions for the Project Hope Humanitarian Club at the University of Abuja during the 2024/2025 Session. Her **outstanding results, stewardship, and leadership** during her tenure made her the ideal candidate for this groundbreaking new role.
Key Responsibilities
In her capacity as National Director of Missions, Ms. Haruna will be responsible for:
- Operational Review: Reviewing the current operations of all MLHARI-affiliated Humanitarian Clubs across Nigerian universities.
- Oversight and Reporting: Overseeing the activities of all clubs, receiving quarterly reports on behalf of the International Headquarters, and advising on best practices to ensure alignment with the aims and objectives of the Organization.
- Club Establishment: Supporting and facilitating the establishment of new Humanitarian Clubs in universities nationwide.
- Policy Development: Setting up a committee with representatives from various clubs to develop a comprehensive operational document for our Humanitarian Clubs, which will be submitted for adoption by the International Headquarters.
Effective Dates
This appointment is effective from Saturday, October 19, 2025, and shall remain valid until October 31, 2026.
